Andreea Păstîrnac was appointed Minister for Romanians Abroad on 4th of January 2017. She was Ambassador of Romania to Republic of Cyprus between 2006 and 2011 and to Israel, between 2013 and 2016. Previously, she held several positions in the Romanian Ministry for Foreign Affais. Thus, between 2001 and 2004, Mrs Păstîrnac was responsible for preparing the application and taking part in the negotiations for accepting Romania as a member in Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research, and starting with 2002, until 2005, was responsible for preparing the participation of Romania in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.
